The Draft Foiled

I wanted to write about this earlier, but some emergency situations came up. I like what Tom DeLay and the House leadership did the expose the dishonesty of the liberal Democrats. The Democrats have been trying to get young people to register by scaring them about the draft. Remember that before the Iraq war, "Good Times" Charlie Rangel (D-NY) was going around with the Congressional Black Raucus stating that it was not fair that people of color and poor people would make up the majority of people on the front line. So Mr Charlie wrote a bill reauthorizing the draft. He assumed that no one would ever bring it to a vote, but he could go around and say how he is asking every American to make the ultimate sacrifice. When the Dems and online bloggers started to spread the idea of the reinstatement of the draft, the House GOP called them on the carpet. We need to do this more often
